Hey does anyone know if the original mercenaires is backwards compatidaple for xbox 360?

I have a xbox 360 and a 360 only no regular xbox. If i bought this game could i play it on 360? and i cant wait for mercs two to come out!

According to Xbox.com, yes, this game is backwards compatible via emulation. When you place the game disc in your Xbox 360 and select to play it, the system will prompt you to download the required update to play the game. Simply follow the instructions presented by the Dashboard to continue.
