  1. Yes. When my sister was pregnant with my neice her heartbeat was always up 170-175. Its a very strong heartbeat.

  2. As long as the doctor and staff are happy, I am happy.

Isn't that little heartbeat just the most amazing thing?

  3. I was worried when my son's got high to.  But it's all normal.  It depends on how much your moving around and if you were active before you had it recorded or what you ate...Different things can change your baby's heartbeat but it's all normal.  Don't be too worried.

  4. Congratulations! It's very exciting (and scary) to be pregnant. But just because your baby's heartbeat was high doesn't mean anything is wrong, it most likely means that the baby was awake and moving around- and that is a good thing!

  5. Chances are things will be ok.  175 is a very strong HB.

  6. At my first ultrasound my baby's heartbeat was 148-150 BPM. At my second ultrasound it was 167 BPM. I was told it will vary each time & that the old wives tale about a fast heart beat indicating a girl is false. My Dr. says the baby's heart rate depends if the baby is sleeping or active during the test. Also varies with what mommy has eaten or drank. Juice or anything with sugar will increase the baby's heart beat. No worries! Congrats on your little one & God Bless!

  7. There's nothing to be paranoid about. That's an excellent heartbeat for a fetus.

  8. Yes, that is normal.  An unborn baby's hearbeat ranges from 130s-170s.  They say 130s-150s tends to be a boy, and 150s-170s tends to be a girl, but I guess you will eventually find out yourself  :)

  9. I used to work OB in a hospital and yes babies heartbeats are that fast normally.

  10. Thats a great heart beat! Very strong indeed! Im sure your baby is fine, no worries :)

Congrats, i think its a girl! lol

  11. Very good!!!  gonna be a marathon runner!  lol.  good luck!

  12. That is totally normal and very good heart beat.  Our son's heartbeat was around 170-175 bpm around 8 weeks or so. My wife was convinced it was a girl at that time.

As the baby gets bigger, the heart beart gradually declines in the second and third trimester (average range of 120-160).  As our baby got bigger, the heart beat in the third trimester was 140bpm during rest.

    Good luck.

  13. A babies heartbeat in utero can range from 120-180.  This is the normal textbook range.  Yours is right on target. Any concerns speak with your doctor.  Ask questions it is your pregnancy and your baby.

  14. 175 heart beats is perfect!  That is awsome, what a fullfilling moment that was for me to see my daughters heart beat for the first time!!

I wouldnt worry to much, sit back, relax and take it all in!

  15. I'm not a professional but that sounds normal to me. When I was 30 weeks- delivery (38 weeks) I had to have NST's done 2x per week because I had high blood pressure. A monitor would continuously record baby's heartbeat. I remember her heart beat going from 140-175 BMP. It rises when baby is more active. I'm sure this applies to you as well even though you are only 9 weeks along.

An old wives tale says if your baby's blood pressure is on the higher side then it is going to be a girl. I had a baby girl and her heart beat was anywhere from 145-175 when active.

  16. Hi

Yes 175 BPM is just fine. It might have been moving around too. Babies have higher heart rates and if I remember right it is in the range of 120-160 BPM. It sounds fine and normal. Congrats on your baby!
