When you make a tackle, your arms wrap the ball carrier and your hands should be in fists...

When you tackle a receiver...it means he caught the ball...

That means you failed to prevent that from happening.

If you can't do your job without gloves...

you shouldn't be in the position.

only if you're going to a Madonna concert. CBs make more tackles than actual interceptions. The gloves are great for grabbing runners. No one really wears the half fingers anymore, it exposes people to cracked nails, and people catch with their fingers, but h**l if you wanna do it, and you can do your job well with it, go for it.

I never needed gloves to catch a ball. Practice more.
