Hey girls what's the difference between like a cover up and a foundation?, (the powder kind)?

hey i've been using this maybelline make-up for like a foundation haha i know that's wrong but my mom is totally against foundation for me. so can you tell me the difference between the make-up and powder foundation?? does foundation just like make your skin more like soft looking?

oh and does a cheap powder foundation come in classic tan? because thats the color that i am

Liquid foundation helps cover more and last longer than a powder, powder is generally put on after foundation to help everything stay in place and add a pretty matte, if you are still young and I assume you are because your mom still wont let you wear foundation than your skin should be fine with just powder and there is no use to wear liquid but, if you think you must, I really suggest maybelline pure makeup because its half foundation and half water, and it is way way better for your skin, but it still looks and covers well
