Hey all, i'm trying to find out how long will the white chocolate liqueor (or whatever that's called) and the mint liqueor willl last b/c i'm not really a drinker and I just wanna make one for myself. Like it might take me 3 mo. to finish a 20 oz. bottle of vodka.

So the question is how long will that stuff last.

thanks

  1. With the 'creme de' liquors you really shouldn't keep them for more than 6 months or so.  I would suggest buying the smallest bottles possible for creme de menthe and creme de cacao.  After about 6 months they may start to separate, and are no longer good.  Also, I would store these liquors in the refrigerator or even in the freezer.  The actual cream obviously will go bad well before 6 months.

    A good, simple grasshopper recipe:

    1 part creme de menthe

1 part white creme de cacao

    1 (or 2) part(s) light cream

Stir or shake over ice and drink up :)

  2. Most alcohol never really goes bad; however, the type of liquor you're refering to (with alot of sugars and flavorings) will oxidize and age over time. I wouldn't be too concerned about it going bad in a few months, but over a year is pushing it, especially if it's been opened. I would suggest sharing some with your friends; i hate to see alcohol go to waste.
