Hey guys, I'm desperate, need some help for this question?

I need to know how to say left in maritime distinictions. I have no idea what that means, i have been searching forever, and I found NOTHING! Anything will help. Also, it ends with "a ship". Anything at all will help, maybe a website if possible. Thanks, and please no stupid answers.
