Hey guys, are you all taking part in Earth Hour?

Question

Earth Hour is a global project to raise awareness about energy consumption as well as saving some, by getting people to turn off their lights and appliances for an hour.

Its happening TONIGHT from 8-9pm.

Thats 8-9pm in your local time zone, by the way.

Loads of people have signed up to this, including big businesses...this isnt just a little hippy thing, this is big!

Google has 'turned off its lights' for the whole day...at least in the UK, where the google.co.uk homepage is black for the the day.

Why not have dinner by candlelight tonight?

A log fire gives out loads of warmth and light...try it today!

Or, if you're in a warm climate, why not sit out at watch the stars?

Even if you cant handle complete lack of electric light, make a special effort to turn off all the ones you dont absolutely need, and check your DVD players, coffee machines etc are off, not just on standby.

yes we are! we ordered pizza so we can have a great time outside the house enjoying the cool wind while laughing about childhood stories!

long live mother earth! let's save her! 'cause after all the prophecies of doom about the end of the earth, it turns out that we humans would be the ones who would actually bring it about.

avoid using drinking straws and shop with reusable bags!

recycle paper too! college readings make great scratch paper after the semester has ended!

yea i am can't  everyone on our street are all going to be sat outside, the road will be blocked for that hour and every1 is going to sing michael jackson's Earth song, with the help of a battery stereo lol and will hold 1 candle for every family, hopefully are community will join in and spread the message! cant wait!
