Hey guys, does anybody know when exactly Shutdown Day started?

This year it is on the 3rd of May (www.shutdownday.org), and last year it was on the 24th of March 2007, but does anybody know when it happened before that? Is there no fixed annual date?

  1. what happens on shutdown day?  Never heard of it.

    PS)  May 3 is Kentucky Derby Day
