hey everyone, thanks for taking the time to read this..

Im currently 3 months pregnant with my second child, my first son is now 8 months old. with him i only had a 3hour labor. and just wondering if it gets easier or harder etc.

can everyone tell me the difference between their first and second labor? thanks heaps

  1. With my 1st I was in labor for 9 hrs but the pushing phase was so hard and with my 2nd I was in labor for 10 hrs & I only pushed 3 times and she was out. So I'd say my 2nd was definitely easier.


  2. Hi cassie every pregnancy and labour is different 12yrs ago i was in labour for 2hrs then gave birth to my son,5yrs ago i was in labour most of the day and gave birth to my prem daughter at 4.26pm like i said every one is different good luck.

  3. Time wise, my first two labors were similar.  My second baby was posterior, so I know labor would have been faster without this condition.  Mentally, I was much more relaxed, and most of the first-time jitters were gone.  It was the 3rd - 5th time labors that were faster and less work.

    There's just no way to predict how each labor will go.  I can only encourage you to stay focused, stay relaxed, and go in with no other expectation than doing the best you can!
