So I have to write a research paper that's due in December on two types of Muslims. I'm not sure where to start this research, and what credible sources I could use, but I would like to get your input on these questions. Your input would contribute to my research, as well as set me in the direction I need to go as far as finding sources for the paper goes.

1. Moderate/Secular Muslims. Their definition, ideology, and goals. What role should they play to create a better understanding about Muslims living in the Western world?

2. Extremist / Fanatic Muslims. Their definition, ideology, and goals. What role should they play to create a better understanding about Muslims living in the Western world?

No such thing hon. Every Muslim follows his religion. There is no 'moderate and fanatic'. There's 'Muslim' and 'Confused'

If you want to do a proper piece on Muslims, you could research into the different sects of Islam.

Sunni - Hanafi, Hanbali, Shafi'i

Shia - Jafari

Ahmadi/Qadiani
