Hey guys, will be going to Madrid soon,will be dr just for 4 days,suggestions on places to go?bars?restos?

Will be staying in Intercontinental Madrid, Paseo de la Castellana..hows that hotel?Is it worth visitng Ibiza while Im on a short stay? Gracias

Go to the Plaza Mayor. Tapas bars all around, fun palce to hang out. It does not get busy till 10:00pm or so.

My favorite area in Madrid is Huertas, by the Plaza de Santa Ana.  There are lots (and I mean lots) of great tapas bars and restaurants in this area.  Everything gets going around 10 or 11 at night, so be sure to take a siesta in the afternoon to get your strength up.

If you feel ambitious, check out the art museums and the royal palace, but don't feel beholden to sight-seeing.  Madrid is best experienced on the streets.  Wander around and chat up the locals.  Many speak English and most are very friendly and a bit tipsy, so it's all good.

For a daytrip, consider Toledo, a gorgeous medieval city south of Madrid.  Well worth the trip for its architecture, artwork, and winding streets full of shops.  A nice place to relax before hitting the tapas bars.

As for Ibiza, I don't know if you've seen a map, but Ibiza is nowhere near Madrid.  Plus, flights are well cheaper from England to Ibiza than from Madrid (since Ibiza and Mallorca are really more British than Spanish).  So focus on Madrid and be prepared to have a very good time.
