Hey guys i just got my braces off nd doc told me to put the retainers at all the time. do i really have to?

i had braces for two years. but my teeth were in perfect position beside one of em. now with the retainer i cant eat anything i have to take them off to eat and the doc told not to. i dono what to do

I'm sure he told you that for a VERY good reason. After all, he did go through 8+ years of college.

haha i never wear my retainer after my brace got taken off. i wear it at nights normally to make sure my teeth dont move..

Yes unless you want them to go back to they´re old position (they really will!!!!!)

Trust me, wear it.  I haven't really been wearing mine, I lost both of them now, and my teeth have started to move back.  Now it's time to pay for a new one and my teeth won't be as straight as before.

A few of my friends didn't wear their retainers and ended up getting braces twice.  Ouch.

If you don't wear it, they will shift back and you will have to get braces... again. Don't worry, at some point in time, you will only have to wear it at night, but only when the Orthodontist says so.
