  1. wide, open rooms (no matter how strong) are always a big threat; you can wait in a small but strongly structured item or room (closet or piano) out of the two piano would be best.

  2. where do u live?

have u ever been in an earthquake before??

well ive lived in cali. all my life and what i do is i run to the doorway!i actually did that today!have u heard of the earthquakes in cali. today?

its not as bad as they sound, i was sleeping and it felt like someone was rocking my bed, back and forth!

  3. You're supposed to brace yourself in a doorframe.  At least that's what I've heard.

  4. Depends on where you live.

If you live in a place where buildings are very likely to collapse during an earthquake (like old buildings in China), then going outside is your best bet. If the building is likely to withstand an earthquake without collapsing, (such as California) it is better to take cover inside the building, since you are more likely to be injuried by tripping over obstacles or having stuffs falls on your head while running to the exit.

  5. I remember someone saying this: earthquakes don't kill people, buildings do. If you feel an earthquake starting, get outside if possible as far away from tall buildings as you can. If you can't get outside, get under a table or desk, or in a corner with solid walls near the centre of the building.

Don't forget that a lot of people are killed by aftershocks when they go back into damaged buildings.
