Hey guys my air conditioner has started acting up and i was wondering if anyone knew what's wrong with it.?

last night it started getting louder with more of a crackly noise and began to spray miniscule amounts of water. it's not all that much water- but it is a problem nonetheless. thanks for all your help

The crackling noise you hear may be caused from water dripping onto the electrical components and causing a brief but dangerous electrical short. The cause of the water dripping may be due to a dirty air filter, a resriction in the condensation drain, a dirty evaporater coil which is freezing over or a blower motor which is going out.

is this central air or a window unit? need more info
