Hey guys please help me decide whether I should optimize a page for a particular keyword.?

Through all in title searches, I've come up with a conclusion that there is very little competition. I'm just a newbie to SEO world, kindly enlighten me.TIA!

Why not?  It's not that hard to put your keywords in your metatags, and you never know when someone else will make a similar site.  There are some other great beginner SEO tips at http://directorix.net/articles.html and also be sure to submit your site URL via email to get a free hard link to your site.  Hope this helps.

  4. Well for you I would suggest you to start optimising each page for 1 or 2 (very) less competitive keywords. This way you will see some results which will boost your confidence as well as helps you see what is working for that keyword and who are competitors for that keyword and gives a scope to analyse competitors and your website as well as your work.

    You might also see some other good results for other keywords if your content is optimised well and of good quality.

    Participate in good forums, don’t just sit in front of computer trying to learn everything in one day

  5. You generally want to go after 4-5 keywords per page. Use a mix of competitive and not so competitive words.
