Hey i have a box turtle...?

Question

i have had him for about uh 10 mounts and hes healty when i give him iceberg lettus and he love it he has dirt in aqurium and has a fake water how i made it has a little light ect...i have become attachted to him and when he see me he comes out off his shell and gose to the glass i fell i want him to stay with me forever and i will spoil him if thats what it takes could i do more to keep him???

What do you mean he has fake water? He needs a shallow water dish to drink from and soak in.And,you will kill it if you feed it iceberg lettuce! Box turtles need a lot more protein than people think.You need to feed it earthworms,slugs,snails,canned dog food,beetles,Repto-Min Turtle Food,veggies,fruits,and other foods. here are some links for you.

okay first of all iceberg is horrible for a turtle!!! it has no nutrients at all! Kive him rich dark leafy greens, lots of kale, romaine lettuce, dandelion greens, mustard greens, tomatos,... its all at the store!!! you dont know that much about your turtle at all. Ok he has to live in a huge outdoor pen, where he can get lots of sunlight, he cant live in a tiny container!! They love to live in a garden, they love eating plants, vegetables, friuts, earthworms, crickets- you cant dig it up, you have to go to a petstore and buy some! He has to have a basking lamp and a uvb lamp, or just take him outside for pure sunlight for 6 hours a day, let him have lots of space, build him an outdoor pen!. Research on the COMPUTER what he NEEDS!
