Hey i have a question about guitars?

I have a question! Ok so my grandmother bought my brother an electric guitar that he used a few times then gave to my cousin so he could learn, well he isn't learning no lessons nothing having to do with the guitar! I am learning the guitar soon and need a guitar she said i could see if i could trade it in for and acoustic! well my question is can i trade it in for and acoustic at guitar center (place bought at)

no i dont think they will let you since its that old

if i were you then i would bring it to a pawn shop or something then sell it and use that money to buy and acoustic but even then your guitar has to be in good condition

Usually guitar stores won't do trades, unless it's a used shop that you are buying a used one, too.  

Consignment is like, they give you nothing until they sell it.  It could sit in the shop for a day or a year.  You just can't know.  I have sold that way before and had some success.  

Recently I sold a couple guitars at Craigslist.org and had really good success.  People were willing to pay what I wanted and I sold them within a couple days of listing- with good descriptions of the guitar, it's condition, and pictures of it.  

If you go that route, don't give any information to anyone.  Other than your email.  If someone wants to give you anything other than cash, walk away.  Let them know up front- in the add.  Some will still try to scam you, be aware!

It really shouldn't be a problem.  You just might have to pay a difference in value between the two.

yeah guitars my favorite subject. anyways well you can get it changed if its in the time of its warrentey. but one place were you can trade guitars is just a few blocks left from the front of the store you cant miss it it says buy sell and trade guitars they prolly have some good stuff because its a intage store.

In my opinion get eletric guitar there easier to learn and you can expierimant with sounds
