didja get a tat to hide it? I heard in New Zeland after a session they send you to the salt to scrub with sand to reduce infection and smooth the scars. a heavily ta2ed bud of mine wont go in the sun any more w/o long sleevs, but its ok cause he's goth/emo. mine havent changed to my est. and im looking for some trad african white so it shows better(not sure bout the face yet) Id say slather on the sunblock if it gives you the canser yer art will be 3D!

yes as long as it is completely healed. make sure you cover it with sun block.

If you can run your hand over it and there are no rough spots, it's okay for the beach. Use some sunscreen.

Two weeks ago, you say?

I just got a tattoo done from a very experienced tattoo artist (over 30 years in the business) and was told that after two weeks it should be healed enough to soak it in water and expose it to the sun.  Just use lots of higher SPF sunscreen on it to prevent sunburn and fading, as that will make your tattoo look horrible in the long run.

I wouldn't go in the water, and I wouldn't put it in the sun.

If you do, wear sunblock!

id say you avoid the sun and beach like its your enemy right now, the sun could cause it to fade. I personally would wait longer before exposing my tattoo to the sun though.
