Actually, its not required to bring a card to an engagement party. Usually it is the parents of the bride throwing the party to celebrate the upcoming wedding.

Bring a card. If you are dead set to bring a gift, bring a picture frame for them to use (a cute one, related to wedding,  love, etc).

Find out where she is registered.  If she is not registered yet, a beautiful picture frame that can be used for Wedding photos, etc. is always a nice gift.

If money is no object...maybe a short weekend trip or spa for a day for the bride to be.  $$$ is always good too
