Hey i need help..i have to make a board game!?

hey i am makeing a board game for my socail studies call and i am doing poland. i need a name...concept...layout and rules....if anyone has any good ideas please help me...anything will do...the person with the best idea will get the best answer. i have till moday becuase thats when it is due...i ahve a poaster board markers paper and aditonal supplies. please help me with me game board troubles!! thank you!

As a game company owner I thought I'd step in and let you know that true board game development is a lengthy process.  In your case you seem disinterested in what your teacher is attempting to teach you.  The method your teacher chose was to allow you to be creative and learn about Poland.  I would first say that you should have taken the assignment more seriously, the only person you hurt by failing to do so is yourself.  And seeking someone else to create the board game for you is completely wrong of you, not simply because it is cheating but because it cheats you out of learning.

Now, as to what you could create.  I would look at the import export of the country.  Find out what their market is, where they typically sell to.  

Create some type of game based on trading.  Make chips, (either squares or circles) that represent the type of goods that the country has, and create some type of trade game.

Who knows...if it's good enough my company might be interested in the game itself.

what i would do is find pictures of celebrities online right

and then cut them out

maybe you want to use your own pictures

those would be like the "things" that you are

for example in monopoly theres the money sack

anyways print out famous poland places

castles, museaums, beaches go here to find specific places

and have each one have a fee

like

if you land on a specific park or something have that be $5.00

or whatever you want it to be

have some of them be free

make some squares were you can win or gain money

for example: on the little square write

you found $10 on your way to ........

and then make some squares have like a police or security thing

like "you were caught speeding, please pay $50"

the point of the game will be who can tour the whole poland

(the board) first

if you run out of money you loose

btw you'll need to give each player $150

fake money of course

make 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 bills

Do a Polish version of Life. On the squares where you land after rolling the dice, have things that are customary in Poland rather than things that are in the original Life game, and are customary here in the US.

Why don't you reaserch a special valuble in poland then make a game with landmarks from poland and paths, traps and shorcuts to get to the valuble, like a treasure hunt game. You could make  some places you land on say things like, You've ____ Go back three spaces. Good luck!

Make a bunch of questions about Poland then divide them into categories eg. history, geography, culture etc. Colour code the categories and on your board place different coloured squares. You could also add some other squares like go back 10 spaces, miss a turn, etc. When someone lands on a coloured square the person on their left asks them a question, if they get it right they roll one dice and go forward that many squares and keep playing, if they get it wrong it's the end of their turn. First to the finish wins. Simple huh?

you can make the gameboard a flag, then have places going along the edge, like monopoly.

more important places are worth more.

ok, i am not just saying this to get points, but i was wondering why everyone is telling her to make a polish board game. There is nothing wrong with it, i just think it is kinda odd why everyone is writing about it, or at least most people! lol :)

I read a lot of the answers and they say Monopoly! I would stay away from games like that! They take to long and if you don't have a ton of time, you can't finish! How about a game like Scene it, but not on t.v! You could have a spot in the middle with the cards and you could have a die! But, you could make your on catagories! You could call the game, catagories! If it were in a store, I would buy it! If you don't like my idea ok! But, please take my advice and stay away from 4 hour games!

I also had to do something like this in my s.s. class. i was using japan, so i made a board that looked liked the state flag. then i made little square shapes out of playdo for the game pieces. i drew a map they players had to flollow. they were all trying to reach there main crop. hope this helps! wish you luck! <3 katie
