  1. Yes, such poor spelling and/or syntax is not acceptable if you want a professional job.

  2. Investment banking is a highly sought after job, so you need to understand upfront that for however many people try to get there, few do.

Study / Degrees - investment banks hire from top US colleges / MBA or grad programs.  You can be an english major at Yale and get an IB job.  You cannot be an english major at State University, or for that matter, you'll have a very tough time if you major in finance, but you go to State University.

At the entry level, it isn't as important what you studied in college - they will teach you all the finance / accounting you need to know, but having studied finance or accounting will only help you.

What it takes - you have to work very hard.  It's hard to explain beyond that.  Be ready to do nothing else besides go to work and sleep, and sometimes not do the sleeping part.

IB pays well, but in the early years you will have very little time to spend any of it.

I had a friend from Princeton with a great resume with a lot of activities who got a job at an IB - during his interview the person told him "wow, you've been very active and it seems like you have a lot of interests - are you ready to give all of them up?".

  3. maybe you should just learn to spell first.
