  1. First off, it is very difficult to get a green card in the US.  Your best way would be if you have a skill that they need.  As an example, if you were a nurse, that would help you, as there is a shortage of them.  You could also hire an immigration lawyer to help you.  This would cost a little bit and I guess it would depend how hard you want it.  I'm an American that moved to Australia and I can tell you that you will have a much harder time then I did getting into your country.  Good Luck and don't expect the process to be speedy.

  2. you should marry a nice American guy. I have heard a aussie girl is quite the trofy..

  3. if you have a degree it is quite easy to get the E-3 Visa for Aussie nationals only. it's for 2years and renewable for another 2years.

  4. It depends on a lot of things - best bet is to search through Australian Immigration website and see what visa is the best option for you.

  5. My next door neighbor is from Brisbane and he married an American.

Of course, you can always travel to Mexico and head due North. There is no fence and nobody watching the border. ALL ARE WELCOME!!

  6. check out this website www.uscis.gov it is the official US immigration website. don't trust websites that offer to sell you a green card. go direct through the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

if you intend to move there on a marriage or family visa i would highly recommend www.visajourney.com.

another possibility is to do something like a summer camp counsellor job. there are plenty of organisations you can go through. that gives you a taste for america if you haven't been before, and you may possibly be able to apply for a change of visa when you get there. but you would have to look into it!
