  1. keep yourself entertained. Im 14 and personally love flying. But my first flight i was scared out of my mind. ON the take off and landing keep yourself busy, a mgazine or book. no cell phones, laptops, video games when lifting off. But once up in the air no worries, video game text or whatever you want. Dont worry about crashing. They check the planes VERY throughly b4 flying them.

  2. get on while you really sleepy and sleep through the whole thing

  3. its not scary at all but it does get boring..just relax take an ipod or go to sleep..but trust me ur butt is gonna hurt after sitting for all those hours

  4. hey jes don feel ya,

    its a pleasant experience..............

    jst njoy yr trip dr.........!

think of sunitha williams, being a girl u must not fear for dis.

    be happy jst rock........................

  5. I talked to my Doctor , an he gave me some meds to help the Anxiety of getting on a plane. Have your mom talk to the doctor about it.

Hope ya have a good trip !

  6. You have  way more of a chance dying in a car crash then a plane, don't worry about it.

  7. ok first off a plane is safe dont worry the chances of you crashing is 1 in a billion..there are police on the plane just in case anyone attacks..DONT BE SCARED..FLYING ON A PLANE IS JUST LIKE RIDING A CAR THATS IN THE AIR

  8. get some good mags, a book, travel books on Spain, and your i-pod.  Just remember that people fly all day and everyday, and that you truely are safe.  It's a long flight so you'll probably fall asleep.  There's usually a movie or two - you'll be plenty occupied, maybe you won't notice that you're in the sky.  Ket your flight attendants know your fears, they're great people to ease your fears!  As for any turbulance, it's just like a bumpy road, just the bumps are clouds!  And HAVE FUN...You're 13 and going to Spain....revel in the experiences!

  9. Don't worry. There could be at the most,40 car crashes in a month and there is almost never a plane crashes.    Even if the plane does crash(it won't though),they will help you.  HAve a great time inspain and don't worry!

  10. Tips:

o Bring your iPod and listen to it during take off and landing.

o Chew chewing gum to prevent your ears popping (pressure)

o Bring a magazine more than a book. I tend to feel sick reading.

o Wear tight socks to help blood flow.

    o Wear a comfortable tracksuit.

o Bring your own sandwiches if you can. Airline food is horrible.

    o Drink tea.

o Walk around the plane when the seat-belt sign is off.

  11. Get drunk..It helps me.

  12. You should be, those things are dangerous.

  13. Relax. Take a good book or video games. Nothing to be scared of, I travel lots (cos of work) and now I really enjoy flying!

  14. don't look down, dont talk to strangers, and shut the blinds next to you, eat food to not get sick and bring something to listen and close your eyes

  15. don't worry just remember your not the only one.

the odds of an American dying in a car crash at 22 times greater than in an air accident, which means you’re more likely to perish driving to the airport than flying out of it.

The first step toward flying without fear is to accept that it is irrational and that you want to put it behind you.

  16. i am scared of planes too

    HERE ARE SOME TIPS.

    1.dont look out the windows

2.have a drink with you at all times

3.chew gum (trust me it helps)

    4. dont read (you'll feel sick)

good luck and have fun in spain

  17. Planes are the best place to get things done. If you have any summer reading, do it there. It'll help keep your mind off of things. If you have a portable DVD player, bring that too. You're going to have lots of time on your hands. You don't want to just sit there and twiddle your thumbs.

  18. As you are 13 do not get drunk as the guy above suggests. Drinking alchohol makes you dehydrated as does flying.

If it is a massive problem see your doctor with your mum or dad for his advise. But seriously flying is definately the safest form of transport. Relax, take an ipod or similar and may be a DS or PSP. Occupy your time. Good luck and enjoy your hols.

  19. there aint no tips just walk on, dont fall ova your make a idiot of yourself sit down and shutup scream if you wanna make the old people angry i do it all the time ly luv ambermakapukitallbugthepoopoo x

  20. don't worry you'd be fine I'm scared of flying, but i travel a lot. during take off and landing just hold your head so that the pressure doesn't give you a headache. Safe journey and have a nice time!

  21. You'll be fine.  If you have real concerns, have one of the attendants keep an eye on you.  They are typically very sweet and will help you in any way they can.  Say a prayer, light a candle, meditate, whatever you need to do relax before you board.  Lucky you, going to Spain so young! :D  Have fun and focus on the trip and not getting there.

  22. If you want to experience it,first you must be positive by thinking you can do it.Bring something with you that diverts your attention into it like favorite foodstuff, music, toys, book, etc.and just relax and enjoy it.

  23. im12 flying is awsome! ive been twice a year since i was 1! i usually bring an mp3player to listen to and a magazine and you dont have to close your window thing i love lookin through it its sooo cool!  and umm bring sweets to chew for landing because your ears might pop! and i call them landing sweets ha ha and anyway enjoy your flight!

  24. Flying is no problem. My 11 year old son flys to Texas from PA every year on his own. Just bring some stuff to do on the plane, like a laptop, iPod, a book. They also have the Skymall magazine (that is so fun to look at). You will get a snack and drinks during flight. After take-off, it's smooth sailing. I read somewhere that they have US Authority undercover on some planes now, so no need to be worried.

    Have fun in Spain!

  25. Stay awake the night before so you sleep on the plane!

  26. its fine trust me :) just eat and play games :) it will be over soon, not a very long flight you got anyway :D

it good because you cant really see down so it does not really effect you that your high in the sky!

  27. Bring a book, and concentrate on that. The fear of flying is most manifested on takeoff and landing. Keep your mind occupied during that time and the rest is gravy.

My wife flew for the first time back in 2005. We took off in the rain, had a smooth flight for the most part, but then crossed a frontal boundary before landing. We landed in crosswinds (after 8 inches of snow had just fallen). She was terrified, but when I told her that this was the worst flight I'd ever been on, she relaxed and said, "Well, if that's the worst, then this will be a breeze!" Now she loves to fly.
