Most of the time in Rally or any other kind of racing you have to go to driving school, and get a car and maybe a sponsor and go race and prove you are competitive.  Then you might get picked up and given a chance, but nobody is going to even let you behind the wheel of their car, much less pay you until you show some "can do".

You don't have to go to driving school and you don't need a sponsor.
