  1. every golfer on the pga tour should have two balls. any more or less is a little weird.

  2. There is no limit to how many balls you can start with.  There is a "one ball rule" which states you cannot change the type of ball during a round.- Start with a ProV1x, and you have to finish with a ProV1x.

  3. i think i may have heard like 10 or 12, but i always try and keep more than 12 in my bag cause i'm no pro

  4. no limits.

  5. There really is no set number of golf balls allowed each player per round of golf.  A player may use a different ball to begin each of the 18 holes.  However, they can not change balls during the playing of a hole unless the ball is lost or damaged.  A player may be penalized for changing balls during a hole.  A player may use the same ball for the entire round.  Beginners should stock up on balls when hitting the course for the first few times and is advised to pick up their ball and move on after taking 10 or so strokes on one hole.

  6. As many as you can carry.  There is no limit, and you may need all of them if you keep losing them.

  7. All correct... the funny thing is that most plays start with a couple sleeves of the same #s.  So, in a typical round a (pro) player will start with six balls.  An interesting story along those lines is related to Tiger.  He started with six balls total in the bag and hit the putting green before his round.  After finishing, he gave two balls away to fans.

In the round he damaged a couple more and also gave them away.  On the 17th or 18th hole he blasted a ball left into the ocean (I think this was at Pebble or Torre Pines).  His caddy handed him a ball (his last), and 'suggested' that he ditch the driver and go with the 3-wood on the second tee shot.  Tiger looked at him, grabbed the ball and blasted at it with his Driver - down the middle in play.  Only later did he tell Tiger that had he hit that one OB, he would have had to DQ himself.

When asked what would have happened had that occurred the response was that he probably would never have been on the bag again.

I personally bring LOTS of ammo.

  8. As many as he/she can carry.

  9. Well, if you lose more than 10 a round you suck and should quit...
