Hey im getting an xbox 360 and im getting live with it what should i get the silver or the gold membership?

At first I would get the silver because with the silver you get a free 1 month gold trial. But then after that I would buy the 12 month gold membership because after you have tried gold you will never want to not have it and if you have the 12 month gold membership then you save money instead of buying two 6 month gold membership or four 3 month gold membership etc. I know ths because at the moment I am halfway through my free gold trial and it is so good. I never want to go back to not having it. Also out of all the games I have, the best for live is call of duty 4. Trust me if you buy it you will know what I mean. After reading this could you please help me with my question. You probably won't know because you're new to live but it is the one about SSID.
