  1. those are the martial arts that will make you a great fighter.

ps it is brazilian JIU-JITSU. and mixed martial arts (mma) means knowlage of multiple martial arts - i is not an art itself

  2. Check out the gym, go down one day and ask to watch a class.

If its true that the coach fought in the ufc he'll be teaching mma from the start, mma's 2 main components being Kickboxing and brazillian jiujitsu. Its also possible that hes talking himself up and hoping nobody spots it. Being a good fighter doesnt mean they're a good coach, so dont place to much emphasis on his fighting career.

If your going straight into training expect the first few weeks to be tough physically, wear shorts (no pockets) and an old t-shirt. Chances are if you've never done any wrestling before you might find it a bit strange. Massively important is - if you don't understnad something, ask. This is especially true when somebody submits you and you dont know how.

Yes youll be dangerous, but if you have a  bad attitude and good training its probably more dangerous for you!

  3. HOPEFULLY, you'll expect to learn a lot, train hard, and have fun.

  4. Check with UFC to make sure your trainer is telling the truth.  Be prepared for hard workouts and serious pain.
