Hey im thinking about gettn a telstra v580a over the internet but im not sure if i hve the right phne lne cord

I live in Australia and i want to get a cordless phone which is able to be plugged into my wall which has the same plug as those used for dial up to be able to plug into your computer. if anyone knows what plug is needed for telstra v580a, can u please tell me cheers XD

  1. You will find that the majority of phones sold in Australia now come with the small RJ11 type connector on the end of the connection cable. This is the type of connector you are talking about if it's the same size as the little plugs that go into a dialup modem.

    If you need an adaptor to take you the older style connectors with the three pins that go into a little box on the wall, you can get them for a couple of bucks from most electrical stores, or from Telstra. Tandy and Retravision do them. I think you can even get cheap dodgy ones from $2 stores too, if you fancy scrimping and buying something that doesn't work !!
