if you look at stars, they appear as mere dot. but why we draw the shape of the star which contains 5 pointed ends.....

The pentagram (what you'd call a star) really has nothing to do with the stars in outer space.  Stars are actually spheres.  The reason they're sometimes drawn as 5-pointed figures is to show the twinkling effect you see when you look at them... which actually has nothing to do with the star, it's tiny scratches on the lens of your eye, as well as air currents in the atmosphere distorting what you see.
