Hey looking for help on getting my first house/apartment?

Hi. Me and my bf are looking into getting either a very cheap house or an apartment within the next year to two years. We're both going to be freshmen in college and are looking for an affordable solution to get out of the parent's house. Any suggestions??

It's a fun time.  You will enjoy living on your own.  Just call on any place that has a For Rent sign out front.  Go visit.  Before you pay the money, talk to the neighbors to see if they are unhappy.

The odds of you staying with your boyfriend for the next year is zero.  He will move out and you will have to pay the lease.  I'm not being mean.  That's what boyfriends do.  I'm a boyfriend.  Don't rent any place that you couldn't afford on your own.
