  1. My daughter is involved not only in after school activities but she also takes a class at our local high school. I believe this varies from state to state. You can check with www.hslda.org and they may be able to tell you for your state.

Be polite when dealing with the school system, but don't give up at the first "no" you get. Some people just don't know the rules, keep going until you feel like they know what they are talking about.

    Good luck!

  2. It depends on the laws of your state and school district.

You can find your state laws here:  http://homeschooling.gomilpitas.com/regi...

Don't worry if the answer is no.  We live in a district which does not allow after school activities for homeschoolers.  That hasn't stopped our child.  She is not only quite active, her activities are the envy of her schooled friends.

    All the best.

  3. I could have, but I never wanted too.  I wasn't into sports and the local high school doesn't offer ballet, their orchestra was way too easy, I could have done debate through my homeschool group, I was already in a great choir, I took art classes already, and I was just too busy with my own stuff to do anything with the high school.

Your state might have different rules concerning homeschoolers and high school activities though.  I would check with other homeschool families in the area to see if they have ever had any experience with this.

  4. Some school districts allow this and some do not. You will have to contact the school and see if this is allowed where you live.

    Best of Luck!
