  1. It all depends on the person.  For some (like me) it's a great choice.  Others.. not so much.  Without knowing you personally, it's impossible to tell you whether it's a good idea for you or not.

  2. Well, ask yourself are you prepared to die young for political issues and war? I once thought about the marines but realised I was thinking of joining for the wrong reasons! Mainly to boost my ego to be able to say im a Marine-how cool is that! You have to really think long and hard before committing to it.

  3. Marine uniforms look nice, don't they. But no matter how you dress it up, murder is never a good idea.

  4. I think it sounds exciting. If you can get through the gruelling boot camp, you get to see the world, get your education paid for, and to serve your country. Go for it! Log on to montelwilliams.com  He is a former Marine and you might be able to e-mail him from his home page. Get the "real deal" about what it's like. Montel is a man I admire and respect.

  5. if you have nothing better to do... then go ahead

    otherwise it's a horrible idea =_=

  6. If you are desperate, it could be :)

you'd better find another job safer and more interesting

  7. If you like being screamed at and much worse...if you'd like to be shot at or bombed in Iraq or Afghanistan or possibly even Georgia or Ukraine soon....if you want your folks and friends to be worrying bout you 24/7 then, h**l yeah! Go ahead and join. If you want a more normal life then kick back and look for something else, there is a h**l of a lot of options out there!

You can get a real, recognised criminology degree over a 4 or 5 year period, online from a UK university for about $1000 a year. Just one of many, many ideas for you.

If you want more info about that degree course email me and I'll send you the link and details.

  8. Only if you are mentally and physically prepared for the brutal boot camp and lots of yelling and screaming from your D.I.

  9. I have a brother-in-law in the army and a cousin in the marines. They tell me that they don't get paid much. The only good thing about it is learning disipline and finding yourself but that can be obtained by not joining. I don't think you should join, you should think of the other options that you have. If you're poor and you're in need of the money then join. If you want to fight gor your country then join.

They brainwash you and make you want to keep fighting and fighting. You can get mentally ill/depressed by the things you see and such if you join.
