what is the age a child can be left home alone for 6 hours because i am 12 and i do this and all of my friends are the same age and they are babysitting and staying by themselves all day and i do this but i am not aloud i just want to know is this leagal i live in the united states in connecticut

When I was 12 I was left alone at home during the day and I was also babysitting two young girls. But I don't know the laws in your district, sorry.

Depends on maturity level. Usually 12. In FL you have to be 12 to be left at home by yourself.

It actually deopends on the parents and how they feel about the the child's maturity level. If you think that you have reached a stage to where you know what to do if there is an emergency and you know how to take care of yourself while alone, Then yes. You should be able to stay home alone.
