Yeah my parents had this whole shelter set up in our basement stocked with tons of food and water just in case we had to hide down there while the world came crashing down around us. It was fantastic!

Oh yeah.  Appeals to hackers not to hack on 01-01-00.  People collecting food in case of economic breakdown.  Toy Y2K bugs for the kids.  

The local Community College was one that had to get a new computer system, as it was apparently easier than trying to update the old one.
