Hey there, I have an Acer 5570Z that was running MS Vista from new. Well like many others i know i also am not happy with it. So i removed the HD, Removed any recoverable files etc. I then formated the HD to prepare it for a reload with MS xp pro. I loaded the xp CD in preparation to boot from it, I have tried several approaches & still have had no luck. The CD ROM makes a few noises, you can hear the fan start accordingly, the screen remains black & nothing happens. Have you any direction to rectify this problem. Regards, Grant
