Hey this is a question for party/rave goers. I'm thinking about throwing a party. A big one. Any ideas?

I want it big and fun but not to expensive you know?

Community centers and Lions Club/Vet Halls can rent rooms pretty cheap sometimes. We even have a storage unit place that has a huge party room for rent for super cheap.

Other than that, someone's backyard is always a good cheap option.

Hmmm....you can find any field with no people and then hold a big party there without giving any rental fees and you can hold as big as you want:)

Right on! I love partys. tho the biggest one i put on was a surprise b-day party fr my mom! hum, a swimming party might be cheap, i dunno. most partys are pretty expensive, unless you get others to pitch in and help.

Check www.partycity.com or www.partyamerica.com for decorations and theme ideas.  Make sure you have chips, dip, fruit, cheese platters, bottled water, soda, liquor (if you're over 21)...appetizers/finger food that people can munch on during the party.  Send out a cool invitation for your party via www.evite.com.  Good luck!

GAMES: water balloons, water slides, water guns, and scavenger hunts, Twister, Truth or Dare, board games, card games, volley ball, soccer, beach balls, "TAG", Hide and Seek..lol, music, karaoke, watch movies, prank call, dance, make-overs, musical chairs, freeze dance, limbo, "WHO COULD EAT THE MOST HOT DOGS" contest, spin the bottle(if boys are there)..lol , maybe food fight or whipp cream fight

MUSIC: pop music, alternative rock, dance music, any music that you basically listen to

PRIZES: $5,$10,$15,$20 gift cards and 4 grand prize maybe $35 or $45 gift cards at(Target, Jamba Juice, Hollister, Vans, Juice It Up, Hot Topic, any places u shop at could be good gift cards and for other prizes a cute stuffed animal, King Size candy bar, or little makeup(chap stick, lip gloss, eye shadow stuff like that)or perfume and lotions.

EXTRA STUFF: goody bags, pinata..lol..(put blind fold on everybody) glow sticks

FOOD: barbecue food, burgers and vegetarian burgers, pasta, pizza,chips, soda, ice cream(have them make their own ice cream with cherries,chocolate syrup,sprinkles)fruit, vegetables(celery sticks,carrot sticks,mini tomatoes) or Hawaiian or Chinese food, snow cones
