Hey we are supposed to be getting another bank holiday to bring us in line with the rest of the EU what day?

would you suggest we take this holiday on? Personally I have a date in my mind but it would be interesting to see what the rest of Brits think

according to reports the EU get a better deal in most areas.

- better working hours

- better work/life balance

- less taxes

- lower petrol rates

- overtime pay (most Brits work overtime and long hours and don't get paid)

I would prefer they sorted these out

I think we should celebrate St. Georges Day. We celebrate St. Patricks Day (although we don't have a day off) and yet we don't celebrate our own saint!

It will never happen though because people are too worried about offending non English people... we were told we couldn't even put up a Christmas tree in our town last year incase we offended the non Christians... nonsence! I celebrate other cultures so why can't they celebrate mine once in a while?

Something between Spring and Summer bank holidays, it's a fallow time there. St. George's Day is an excuse for excess, not a celebration, why not have the summer solstice - June 21st?

Definitely one for the politicians this but best proposal would be to make it the first Sunday after midsummer's day so not to upset anyone.

nov 11.about time too.plus we are getting 4extra days holidays entitlement from oct-8.and 4more on top next year .about ******* time.

Preferably in the summer months but some how I don't think we will get one.

We should have it on a Wednesday for a change, sometime in the middle of the winter so we don't have to get up in the dark and go to work at some godforsaken hour! (Me, I have to be up at 05.15)
