I want it to be able to be heard for miles, I was thinking the Dragsters, or the shotguns, but I was hoping there was something even louder than the both of them

  1. I agree. I leave on MY Shadow at around 4:00AM. I wouldn't even run lights if they weren't wired to the ignition. I have respect for the neighborhood and in turn they watch my place should I go out of town for a week. I followed a guy the other day that had straight pipes on a bike the size of mine (750) and to quote a saying that was here, "it sounds like a f**t in a beer can). Why mess with the stock exhaust? I'm sure it has been tuned for optimal performance and noise ordinances. If you must, I agree that you should go out and listen to different types and make an informed decision. See what a Honda technician may recommend. Good riding!

  2. Look into Vance & Hines Straightshots.  They have removable baffles, so you can experiment with a straight-pipe configuration, if unbearably loud is what you're looking for.  When you get tired of the noise, you can put the baffles back in.

I have Hard Krome Kickers on my Shadow ACE.  I don't know if the baffles are removable on these.  I like the sound as it is.  They are not annoyingly loud, and the fit & finish of the Hard Krome pipes is excellent.

  3. ugly joe is correct!

keep it quiet, plus when ur on a long ride the noise will annoy you too

  4. Vance&Hines sound the best in my opinion . I had them on my  05 Shadow Aero .Nice deep Rumble . You really dont want to be heard for miles its very annoying but if you must then just pull the baffles out

  5. Why, do you want to meet more law enforcement officers? As a long time rider, I have come to the conclusion that the extra noise isn't worth the performance loss, angry neighbors, and extra legal headaches.

But if you insist on having the loudest exhaust you can find, I would recommend spending some time just looking at what other people who have a similar bike have done.Keep looking until you find what you want, then buy it. Don't be in a hurry, new parts can be expensive, so be sure you get what you want the first time.
