  1. Usually , all american universities, remember exception are always there, accept average grades. provided you are still a determined student with good record. private universities are costlier as compared to state run universities.

  2. For an international student you will find that out-of-state tuition in the majority of state universities is on par with many private universities.

As for your actual question and your 'average grades' statement, you should look at state universities over private as they are more than likely to accept you.

There is also no such thing as 'cheap' education in the U.S. you are going to be looking at, at least $18,000 per year minimum for all expenses and this it at a community college.

Some of the cheapest tuition costs can be found in the less expensive living areas of the U.S. So look at States such as: Wyoming, North Dakota, Nebraska, Missouri, Arkansas and Oklahoma.

If cost really is an issue then I suggest spending two-years at a Community College and obtain your associates degree and meet your general studies requirements before transferring to a four-year state university to complete your final two years for your Bachelor's Degree - this route is much more affordable.

  3. I am a student at the University of North Texas.  It is located in Denton Texas, which is about 35 miles north of Dallas Texas.  The school is the number one transfer school in the state, and one of the best transfer schools in the country.  The price if very cheap and the education is good.  They also have kinda low entry standards.  Take a look at www.unt.edu
