Yep, it's from an ad campaign a long time ago, back in the early days of Dr Pepper.

I think the first two answerers are right, but I hardly ever drink that stuff myself. As for me, I really like rootbeer.

I am old enough to remember this...it is the time they use to have a commercial on TV mannnnnnyyyyy years ago that said its good for a 10 2 and 4 meaning the time to drink it...

as you said yes the time of day....so redundant  sorry...
