Hey you aussies out there starting my arab x stock in barrels any pointers?

Live in Wagga Wagga so if someone can come out to see what im doing wrong would be great

Have been told to place truck tires around barrels so it teaches the horse not to touch the barrels

dont have a western saddle just a good old aust stock saddle that should do for training shouldn't it getting the west for my birthday.

first walk him around the barrels if he doesn't no what he is doing at a walk he won't no what he is doing at a gallope. so walk him around the barrels. also gaming the horse has to have a drive to do it. i kinda sounds like your horse doesn't have the drive to turn the barrels. if that helps. also never heard of the tires and trust me i have heard a lot hope that helps. also if u really want to get into barrel racing try a quarter horse they are the best the have the rump to turn the barrels
