1) Grabbing for breath
Tears erupt through her constricted pupils
Marking her cheeks with splashes of black liner
Holding on to the rail she stumbles, her teeth
Glisten in the white sun
As she clenches for her tightened muscles
She begs him to stop, screaming out
Through an ear deafening explosion, but
Fingers like stale noodles grapple mercilessly at her pits
She grabs for her breath, helpless
Pleading for her deflated lungs to regain strength
The fingers finally satisfied retreat
She inhales deeply the kind air
Her muscles loosen
Left with only a smile, she escapes
The firm grip of laughter
2)Your Life
You cut off the pedals and gather the thorns
You pull on your collar to loosen its tug
Colored emptiness intrudes your thoughts
You think of a dream you once lost
Swelled wrinkles are reflected on your broken mirror
You catch soured tear drops in your pockets
Nodding slightly to the left
You wait for the sound of laughter to leave
Trail behind the logic of common sense
You watch hunger happen again and again
They all shake at you and agree with your feeble nature
You dip into the ocean of guilt only for a moment
Get split open by the monstrous waves
Turn from page to page never finding your place
You trace the scratches on your arms
Roll over to the cold side of the bed
You remember how it was being asleep
Tell stories so no one forgets
You always leave the cemetery vigilantly
You talk slow but move fast
Your walls are separated from the floor
You fill yourself up with sweetened plastic
The ceiling plunges into the dirt
You rock back and forth as you sit for dinner
Sitting had always come easy
You know how to warm up the doors before you enter
Say out loud your name until it becomes unfamiliar
You are negatively charged by the battery infested toys
The noise the alarm makes in the morning turns your stomach
Standing there always waiting,
Waiting to be awaken, but always feeling shaken
