The Bavarian giants’ team trainer says that the Allianz Arena side will reclaim their top form after the weekend’s 2-1 loss to rivals Bayer Leverkusen in the league.
Bayern Munich head coach Jupp Heynckes has stressed that his side will continue their winning stride in the Bundesliga, after their perfect record in the season came to an abrupt end. He claimed that the Bavarian outfit is mentally
ready for the challenges ahead and will not compromise their league title under any circumstance.
Der FCB suffered their first defeat of the campaign as they were beaten 2-1 by Bayer Leverkusen at home on Sunday. This came as a surprise after the Reds enjoyed a spectacular start to the season. Bayern’s eight consecutive wins
could not be extended as Leverkusen scored late in the game to clinch all three points over the weekend.
The veteran manager stated that they will not be knocked off by the weekend’s result, and seemed to have learnt from their mistakes. The trainer further added that they still have a very decent lead from second-placed Schalke in
the Bundesliga rankings.
“We won’t be thrown out of our stride by the defeat, and we’ll learn lessons from it. We still have a comfortable lead in the table," Heynckes was quoted as saying in an interview.
The tactician suggested that his team failed to turn up in their league clash against a very good Leverkusen side. He praised the Sunday’s opponents and said the away team possessed brilliant attackers who were dangerous throughout
the clash.
“Against a Leverkusen team with excellent counterattacking ability, you have to keep the pace high for 90 minutes, but we didn’t do that,” the former Athletic Bilbao, Real Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen mused.
“We practically scored the goals against ourselves. They were unfortunate situations compounded by a great deal of bad luck," the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 international finally added.
Shot-stopper http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Manuel-Neuer-c23424 conceded his frustration and revealed that he was disappointed by his defence as they let in two goals. The custodian said that Die Roten were to be blamed for the two goals although they were a bit unlucky.
