The Bayern Munich manager has revealed that the club will sign a world-class midfielder in the summer transfer window to add depth to the squad.

The former German champions have had a trophyless season this term as they failed to secure any silverware for the second year running. The team reached the final of the UEFA Champions League and the DFB-Pokal but lost to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786
and Borussia Dortmund respectively.
Heynckes claimed that the team needs some valuable additions this summer to challenge for major honours for the upcoming season. The Munich giants have already acquired the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dante-c10236 before
the start of the next campaign and are favourites to land http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Claudio-Pizarro-c9324 from Werder Bremen as well.
The former Bayer Leverkusen boss admitted that the squad needs some world-class additions this summer and has admitted that signing a top central midfielder is the priority.
The team suffered heavily in the absence of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bastian-Schweinsteiger-c7374, who suffered an injury during the winter break, and are willing to splash the cash to make sure there is quality depth in the squad.
“We need to change something. That's very clear to me. We will improve the quality of the squad. We won't just add depth to the team, but quality as well. We missed Schweinsteiger a lot throughout the season. We will have to talk
about whether we perhaps need another top-class midfielder,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
On the other hand, former Bayern Munich striker Giovane Elber has defended the club’s decision to recruit players from Brazil for the time being. He insisted that the club is getting the quality from Europe which is why the decision
was made.
“Of course, there will always be good players coming from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brazil-c2858, but Bayern are not under any pressure. They know perfectly well what they're doing, and there are enough players from Europe who could help Bayern,” the attacker
added.
Bayern Munich have been heavily linked with the likes of Olivier Giroud and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nuri-Sahin-c28251.
