Die Roten maintained their great run of form, defeating Werder Bremen 2-0 in a nail-biting affair on Saturday to continue their dominance at the top of the Bundesliga.
Bayern Munich beat Werder Bremen 2-0 in a close league encounter to extend their lead in the rankings, and are unbeaten in nine matches this campaign. The manager Jupp Heynckes had to use some harsh language at half-time to motivate
his side to grind out a positive result, after the score was tied at 0-0.
The win was not as easy as the scoreline suggests, as the Bavarian giants left it late and scored late in the game to ensure all three points. The coach was not amused by Bayern’s performance and insisted that he had to talk to
the players and the former striker also stated that he was pleased with the outcome.
The team trainer said that they did not play good football earlier in the game and that his players frustrated him a little. He further added that finally, he was happy with the result as Der FCB did enough to secure a victory
against a hard-working Bremen team. He told that he had to strong words in the break.
"We slowed things down too much in the first half. The players tested my patience a little too much, but at the end of the day, it was enough to beat a strong Bremen side," the coach was quoted as saying in an interview.
"I had to use some strong language at half-time,” he added.

made it easy for them and after that they were in cruise control.
"The opening goal helped us a lot, because we were in control again after that.” The Brazilian defensive midfielder finally concluded.
Bayern will take on BATE Borisov in their UEFA Champions League game on Tuesday and will look to get a second win in the competition.
