The Bavarian giants secured a tough 2-0 triumph against Eintracht Frankfurt over the weekend, and the team trainer has told supporters not to expect big wins every week
Bayern Munich manager, Jupp Heynckes, has suggested that his team faced problems in their Bundesliga clash, but still managed to claim a hard-fought 2-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday. Moreover, he has warned the fans
not to expect several goals from the club in every match.
FC Hollywood have been in great run of form in the last few weeks and hammered French side Lille 6-1 in their UEFA Champions League game in midweek. However, the veteran coach has issued a warning to the Allianz Arena faithful
and asked them not to demand easy victories over the course of the season.
The tactician claimed Frankfurt played really well and Der FCB had to work hard for the win. He further added that his side lacked the cutting edge in the first-half and the away side put in a strong effort off the ball. Heynckes
stated that Bayern lost concentration after their European fixture.
"It was a hard-fought victory against a very good team," he was quoted as saying in an interview.
"We didn't look determined enough, particularly in the first half, and Frankfurt played good football and were full of running,” he added.
The boss revealed that Die Roten showed character in their league victory and worked tirelessly to claim all three points.
"It's hard to re-focus after the Champions League. You can't always score six goals and play superb football. But we showed that we're capable of the right reaction in a difficult situation,” he mused.
"In that sense, the team were excellent. We made the most of our experience and intelligence," he finally concluded.
French star Franck Ribery scored almost before the interval, and commented that Die Bayern lacked energy due to their tough fixture schedule. He said playing every three days is very hectic and added that the visitors were fresher
than them.
Nevertheless, he conceded that Bayern created a number of chances and should have scored earlier.
