Bayern Munich manager, Jupp Heynckes, has urged his players to respond after last season’s disappointments.

Bayern Munich manager reckons that, after a season full of disappointments the players need some time to reflect and recover from the heartbreaks. He also revealed he will try to raise their confidence so they do not feel depressed.
"The players need to recover and unwind. When we meet up, I will also work on the players psychologically,” he is quoted as saying in an interview.
The veteran tactician revealed that he suffered a similar heartbreak as a player in the 1974 World Cup, when he was not able to feature in the final due to injury. The 67-year old believes the disappointment made him stronger; he bounced back from it to have
the best season of his career. He is confident his players are mentally strong and will respond in a positive manner.
"At the 1974 World Cup I was a regular, but then I could not play in the final because of an injury. That was a huge disappointment and I was depressed. But then I had my best season. I think our players will respond similarly,"
he added.
