The Bayern Munich manager is targeting an improved campaign with the club and is willing to make changes if things do not go his way.

Heynckes admitted that the team needs to be more focussed and determined this time around and is targeting an improved outing. He insisted that the players have to work hard in training and on their fitness ahead of a crucial campaign
so that the team achieves the desired results.
The former Bayer Leverkusen boss insisted that every player has to prove his worth to play in the team and hinted that he will make some changes if required. The tactician added that he there is immense competition for places which
is good for the team.
“The players need to be totally focused on their fitness, the training, the games and their general conduct. I'll be even more adamant about that. If I see it's not going the way I want, I'll make changes,” he was quoted as saying
in an interview to the club’s official website.
The manager added that the players need to have a winning mentality and stressed on the importance of a good start to the season. He stated that Bayern have signed a host of new players this summer and established first team players
will also have to prove their worth for a starting role.
“We have to become a bit smarter, more robust and more focused on winning. They need to turn up the heat on the established players - and they will,” he concluded.
