after the trio was booked on the night.
Real hosted the Munich giants on Wednesday, April 25, at the Santiago Bernabeu with Los Blancos winning 2-1 on aggregate courtesy of a brace from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arjen-Robben-c6521 scored a vital away goal from the spot to bring his
side back on level terms, forcing the game into extra time and then the penalty shootouts.
The Munich giants, though, will have to do without three of their first team players who received bookings. Bayern manager, Jupp Heynckes, expressed his delight at the win but was furious at the trio’s absence from the final which
will only make things tougher for the Bavarians.
While talking during the post-match press conference, the tactician further added: "It is not good that we've lost three of our best players. Badstuber has had an outstanding season, Alaba is very good on the left side and Luiz
Gustavo has played very well in the last few weeks. They're happy that we have achieved the final but they are also sad. We will miss them in the final."
On the other hand, the boss admitted that his players took time to settle down but encouraged them the way they responded under peculiar circumstances. He claimed that Bayern were outstanding after the first 15 minutes and urged
his troops to maintain consistency and composure in the final against the Blues.
"It was a magical night. We had big problems in the first 15 minutes, but afterwards my team took over and dominated the match. We were sensational - it is a special victory for Bayern," Heynckes concluded.
Bayern will meet the Stamford Bridge outfit in the final on May 19 at the Allianz Arena.
