desperate measures this time around to make sure they knock Borussia Dortmund off their perch in the upcoming campaign.
Jupp Heynckes, Die Bayern’s manager, has stated that he has a perfect squad at his disposal and is aiming for a successful season next term. He admitted that there are many quality players who will be fighting for a place in the
starting line-up next season which is a good sign as the team will remain on their toes.
The former Bayer Leverkusen boss added that the likes of Mario Mandzukic and Claudio Pizarro are valuable additions to the team and is confident that the duo will come out good when given the chance. He stressed that the team lacked
the quality in attack last season and is happy the there are more alternatives for the next term.
“The new players in particular are really giving it everything, they want to prove themselves and put themselves forward. These two will definitely help us this season. Last season showed you have to have more alternatives in attack
in tight games. You might need an extra striker, or have to react to a situation,” the tactician was quoted as saying in an interview.
On the other hand, sporting director Matthias Sammer claimed that the new players will certainly give their teammates a run for their money and stressed that the players who keep performing will be part of the starting line-up.
“It's about team spirit, especially among those who aren't so-called members of the first-team. The solitary and exclusive thing that matters is Bayern Munich. If this doesn't work out, we have no business talking about trophies,”
he concluded.
Bayern Munich will kick start their new Bundesliga campaign against Greuther Furth, a team that won the 2.Bundesliga last season, on Friday, August 24.
